Cleveland DUI Defense

As a Cleveland DUI Attorney, Cleveland DUI Defense is at the heart of what we do.  Everyone on our team from the attorneys down to the legal assistants understands not only what is at stake on a DUI charge for our clients but what needs to be done in order to successfully defend and protect our clients, and their families, from the repercussions of these charges.

CLEVELAND DUI DEFENSE

We are former prosecutors, and defense attorneys, with significant experience in the criminal justice system.  There are many good attorneys out there but we feel that our experiences and approach provide our clients with the results that they are looking for.

HOW OUR CLEVELAND DUI DEFENSE WORKS FOR YOU.  We are not the kinds of attorneys that approach a case, such as yours, with the mindset of getting a “quick plea” deal for our clients – this means that we are always preparing to go to trial to force the prosecutor to win.  The result of this is that the prosecutor is placed under a considerable amount of pressure to make a choice on how to handle your case.  He will have to decide if it is worth it to fight us, or make you an offer that is acceptable.  If the offer is not acceptable to you, you lose nothing in our preparation as we are already prepared to go to trial.  Now, if your situation requires that we obtain a quick plea deal in your favor we will do that but in every case our dui defense team will:

  1. Demand, and obtain, discovery from the prosecutor – this is the evidence they have;
  2. Demand, and obtain, the logs, records, and certifications of any machine used to test you;
  3. Demand, and obtain, the training manuals and records of the person performing any test used against you;
  4. Demand, and obtain, any video showing you during your traffic stop;
  5. Discover and challenge the reason for any traffic stop;
  6. Discover and challenge the methods used on any test (breathalyzer or field sobriety test) that you performed.

JUST BECAUSE THE POLICE SAY YOU FAILED A TEST DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE GUILTY.  It is very important to understand that even if you have FAILED a test, according to the police officers, that does not mean that you are going to be convicted.  It does mean that you need to retain a Cleveland DUI Lawyer that has experience, training, and expertise in this area and knows how to challenge the police.
